2024 RACE DETAILS
The fastest, thigh-burning-est, big smiling-est, most ridiculously fun weeknight race series returns! Every Thursday evening, from January 18 to Feb 29, line up with 30-sh of your soon-to-be-closest friends and speed past your Netflix and Disney+ addicted pals. There's no better way to ramp up for spring than rubbing elbows and chasing other riders in a circle. And nothing's more satisfying than crossing the finish line with a frozen perma-grin that lasts till Friday night.
This year, the circus returns to the Chart House in Lakeville on a more party-friendly night. Just off Interstate 35, a few minutes past our Buck Hill Summer Series. We've got plans for longer laps and an ever-evolving course as the series goes on.

WE HATE CANCELING RACES!
This race will happen at forecast air temps as low as -15F. Drastically colder than that, or severe windchill may be an issue for race timing staff. Because we have lake crossings, warm temps before the race may lead to cancelation.
Cancellations will be refunded for all pre-registered riders. Go/No-go will be determined and announced by 2PM on race day. Stay updated on weekly race status on our Facebook event page, or check this page on race day if you have any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Yes.
2. How much does it cost to race?
Early registration is $15 for adults, $1 for kids 17 and under. Day of registration is $20 for adults, $5 for youth.
3. I showed up late, and registration ends at 6:15. What can I do?
Head up to the bar, order a cold beverage and some walleye fingers, then enjoy a night of watching great races. Pre-registering is highly encouraged. Wake up earlier next Thursday and start sorting your gear the night before so you can be on time, for crying out sakes.
4. When does my race start?
All categories start at 6:30. Currently, there is no age bracketing for youths. If you bring more friends, we'll probably add it in.
5. Issues with registration?
Email events.team@freewheelbike.com. Unlike Buck Hill, we can take care of you on-site with cash.
6. I left before the podium and didn't receive my prize.
Must be present! Why do we do this? Because cyclists are generally pretty introverted folks, and we want to help you meet people like yourself. Stick around and make some friends.
7. Can I register in the store?
All registrations are done online or at the Chart House starting at 5PM. Just look for all the folks in Freewheel clothes that are not Mario. They can get you sorted. (Mario might also be able to, but he's probably talking to somebody about awesome stuff.)
8. What should I do if I'm unable to finish the race for any reason?
Stop by the timing booth at the finish line and let us know. This is kind of important so we know you didn't fall through the ice, get eaten by coyotes, or wind up like Jack Torrance at the end of that documentary about the Overlook Hotel.
