Freewheel Bike E-Bike Repair Policy
Freewheel Bike is now accepting all brands of e-bikes for standard mechanical repairs.*
Freewheel Bike offers a full range of comprehensive repair services on all brands of mechanical bikes. Due to the rapid expansion of E-bike offerings, and the specific resources required to repair this technology, we have some constraints on e-bike repairs.
Freewheel is currently certified/authorized to service the following power systems: Bosch, Shimano, TQ, Fazua, Mahle, Hyena, and Promovec.
To ensure we deliver service at the highest level, e-bikes** using systems other than those for which we are certified can only be taken in for mechanical repairs. Our shops cannot repair electrical components or power systems of any brand not listed under our certifications.
Surcharges may apply when extra labor is required to accommodate unique bike designs.
*Mechanical repairs on non-certified brands are limited to systems and components that are commonly found on standard bicycles (i.e., flat fixes, brake adjustments, derailleur tuning). As the e-bike market is expanding rapidly with numerous new brands producing e-bikes, some brands may use proprietary components that are not readily available or serviceable. In those instances, we may not be able to accept the repair.
**We define an e-bike as a bicycle equipped with a pedal drive system that also features an electric motor for assistance or additional power. We are not currently equipped to repair e-scooters, e-skateboards, or electric motorcycles.
