Returns and Shipping Policies


At Freewheel Bike, we stand behind every product we offer. If the product you bought from us doesn't meet your expectations, we'll swap it out or refund the purchase, with a few exceptions and guidelines listed below.

Return Guidelines
All unused items can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, with specific guidelines for bicycle returns.

A receipt is required for all returns.

Bicycle returns are only eligible for store credit, which comes as a Freewheel Bike gift card. Because riding a bicycle is the best way to know it's the perfect ride for you, bicycles may be used before returning. However, to receive full credit on bike returns, the bike must be in like-new condition with no cosmetic damage or warn parts.

All products besides bicycles must be in unused condition.

Items purchased in-store must be returned to a Freewheel location.

Items purchased online may be returned to a Freewheel location or shipped back to Freewheel via UPS Ground or US Mail. (We do not accept CODs).

Shipping Costs
You are responsible for the cost of shipping for standard returns.
Freewheel will refund shipping costs on damaged or incorrect merchandise.

Time: You have 30 Days from date of purchase to return unused items and Bicycles.
Return Method: Bicycle returns issued as a Freewheel Bike gift card. All other returns applied to the original form of payment.
Product Condition: Must be unused. Bicycles must be in like-new condition.
Shipping: You are responsible for safely returning items and for return shipping charges, except when the product arrives damaged or is incorrect.

Note: Orders usually ship one business day after being placed.

Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight. Items excluded from the free shipping promotion include but are not limited to; All bicycles, bicycle-mounted racks and baskets, bolt-on fenders, framesets, trainers, rims, vehicle hitch racks, wheels, wire bead tires.

Most orders will be ready after 4:00 pm the same day if we have the items in stock and the order is received by 11:00 am (Monday through Friday). You will receive an email or telephone response by 2:00 if the order will be ready for you to pick up. If you don’t get reply, please call to check on your order’s status we make every effort to respond promptly but sometimes we can barely keep up with our in-store customers demands. Orders placed after 11:00 am or on the weekend can be ready the same day if you would kindly alert us by phone that you placed an order. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders requesting in-store pickup need to be picked up within 14 days.


Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.
