Returns and Shipping Policies

Return Policy

  • Items may be returned for a full refund within 30 days from date of purchase 
  • Receipt is required
  • Sorry but we cannot accept returns on items that have been used. Exception: Bontrager 30 day guarantee and various manufacture trial guarantees 
  • Returns on bicycles will be issued as store credit in the form of a Freewheel Bike Gift Card.


Three shipping options are offered for merchandise delivery:

Standard Ground
2-Day (weekdays)
1-Day (weekdays)

FREE shipping on orders over $100.

Note: Orders usually ship one business day after being placed.

Please note that some items may be excluded or subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight. Items excluded from the free shipping promotion include but are not limited to; All baskets, bicycles, bicycle-mounted racks, bolt-on fenders, framesets, trainers, rims, vehicle hitch racks, and wheels, wire bead tires.

Most orders will be ready after 4:00 pm the same day if we have the items in stock and the order is received by 11:00 am (Monday through Friday). You will receive an email or telephone response by 2:00 if the order will be ready for you to pick up. If you don’t get reply, please call to check on your order’s status we make every effort to respond promptly but sometimes we can barely keep up with our in-store customers demands. Orders placed after 11:00 am or on the weekend can be ready the same day if you would kindly alert us by phone that you placed an order. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders requesting in-store pickup need to be picked up within 14 days.


Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.


If there’s a problem with something you purchased from us, you can either bring it to our store or ship it back. Ship returns via Ground UPS or insured US Mail (we do not accept CODs). We will refund shipping costs on damaged or incorrect merchandise. Merchandise returned that appears used will be subject to a restocking fee. (Labor fees are not refundable, i.e., custom built wheels.) All sales are final on bicycles, closeout, clothing, tools and clearance products.

Returns over $100 must have a return authorization number clearly marked on the outside of the package or the item will be refused. A return authorization number can be obtained by phone or e-mail.
