In addition to the on the job skills training we provide we also send many of our mechanics to service trainings across the country. Because we see value in growing your knowledge beyond the bicycle world, we also make available training in computer programs like Microsoft Office.
Health care eligibility starts at 32 hours per week and we offer multiple plans so you can choose the one that best suits your needs. We proudly include domestic partnership coverage when it is available from our insurers.
As a full-time employee of Freewheel Bike you can contribute pre-tax dollars to an IRA account and Freewheel Bike will match your contribution up to 3% of your wage.
All employees who successfully complete the orientation period are eligible for our wholesale + 5% discount on all products, and thanks to our relationships with top quality vendors there is plenty of opportunity to buy merchandise well below wholesale price.
We focus on providing products to customers who bike all year so we maintain a healthy year-round business.Because of this, we employ a large full-time staff through the typical off season. Many of our part-time staff members who are interested in winter riding find hours throughout the year as well.
